How to enter Radio code for 2011 Navara DX

I dropped into the local Nissan Service dept this afternoon to get the code for my radio (got the battery replaced recently). They had some trouble but eventually gave me a code that he though might be it. The code starts with 8 , but my radio has buttons only up to 6. I have tried many combinations to try and get it to show 8, but no luck.

Searched google but can't find info on this radio.
Does anyone here have any insight into this? Is the code wrong because it starts with 8? Is there some trick to get the didgit 8 to display?

It's simple (but somehow backwards at the same time).

Let's assume your PIN is 8493

Press button 1 for 8 times (first digit)
Press button 2 for 4 times (second digit)
Press button 3 for 9 times (third digit)
Press button 4 for 3 times (fourth digit)
Hold button 5 for a few seconds and it should unlock.

Very interesting - I've got the same model as in the photo though and my code just uses the buttons 1 to 6 to directly enter those digits.

It would not surprise me (ever, really) if they threw in a change now and again just to keep us confused.

Hi my name is Paul, I have a problem with the radio in my D22 2004 pickup. I dialed in what Old Tony said and on the face I landed up with 7943. I hit No. 5 and waited a few seconds and nothing happened. Can anybody help me out. Thanks

Instead of a quick hit, go for a long slow press and see if that's any difference.

Otherwise instead of 5 try 6?

Or the Sound or PWR button/dials on the right and left
