Glow Plugs Problem

My QD32 (97') has been struggling to start lately. In the morning it's taking 3 or 4 good goes until it kicks over.
The glow plug dash light only comes on every now and then and the click noise you usually hear after the light goes off doesn't happen anymore…
The glow plug fuse is fine. Where is the glow plug timer on this ute?
Any helpful input or ideas will be appreciated.

The manual for all d22s from 97-08 is a sticky in the d22 general section.

Hey Davo, nah I haven't had time yet, I took my fuel tank off because my fuel sender was clogged with shit and was running out on a 1/4 and leaving 20 odd litres in the tank. buts that's another problem haha. I will update on here when I get to it.
Rumpig I wish I read that earlier, I just bought the cd one off eBay haha only $6 though, oh well
