Gearbox model?

Hey, i have lost 1st gear in my petrol v6 d22 07/2000 model 2x4. Struggling to find a model number to find a replacement gearbox and if the same gearbox came off a different model of car etc. It is the VG30(E) engine. Any help appreciated.

The gearbox model should be stamped on your Vin plate under the bonnet. Assuming it hasn't been changed since the car was built, which I wouldn't have thought so, but anything's possible.....

That's the first place i looked but i didnt see anything about transmission, it had everything BUT the gearbox, very upsetting. I will go double check myself but thanks for the reply!

The VG30E engine with FS5R30A has been added on 2/4WD models for Australia.

It should say trans and then the model next to it, but as mentioned above, if it is indeed the fs5r30a that's the same box the diesels have in them too, probably just a different bell housing...
