I think it is. We need to lock in the venue, but I don't see the date changing.

OMG !!! November in Victoria !! Not looking good for me . I work in the building industry and will have 2 chances of time off in November one of them is F*#k all. apart from the fact Im having 6 weeks in the US in July . Well there is always next year

Ok Dave here's my final offer. My sis in law has more than once offered me a job in the mines in WA, I'll pay you $50K a year to do that job, it's just driving trucks so you should be able to do it. The only catch is that the other $90K a year goes to me as your agent, you still wont get a long weekend in November but it's a job.

What's the long weekend in November for? If I can get my car up to standard I would love to come over for this and make a week of it......Vic high country is on my bucket list

There is cup weekend in Melbourne but that's on a Tuesday and not everyone gets the Monday off and obviously not all states get it at all.
It's a problem when people talk public holidays on a national scale because so many are on different days they just don't all help some people.

Thanks Krafty, gives me something to work around, we dont get Melb cup day off down here but if i get in early enough i can take that week off.....now i just need to save!
