Would be awesome to see a muster in QLD. Or even northern NSW. I will have to get a long range tank for the VIC muster. Good to see there are more to happen.

Not looking good for me I will be in the US in October nex year for 6 weeks
I might bring back some goodies but

Cmon gonzo, u gotta come down mate, see how your highway tyres go in the bog holes hehe

I'm keen, but I'm also planning on heading out to the birdsville races. Next year as well... Any chance we could turn this into a touring muster? Start at the races, spend a week doing the stryzlecki or something? Make it a week long muster!

Woohoo!

Mate I might just make a list and let the Minister for finance send all my stuff home and I will go to the Muster...

I thought most Victorians thought Vic is Australia.

Pfft... over policed, over regulated and over populated.

I can't wait to get into the 4 wheel drive or onto the motor bike and go touring and get away from the place.

Sure there are some good bits like the little desert and the high country but increasingly everything within a couple of hours of Melbourne is being locked up or shut down.

Now if you're talking football... Victoria is the home of Australia's only real football

I'm all for seein the high country, but I think we should try to hold it at places like Ados(4WD parks) or place where we can hire at hole camping area, not just someone's fav camping ground. The last thing we want is
1. to have people turn up and camp right in the middle of us & get in the way or us annoy them
2. Turn up at the camping area an find it's already packed out & have no room too fit everyone.

There are these 4wd parks poping up everywhere these days

thats why there is a committee and a member input, trips/campsites get planned, voted on, debated over their suitability for our purpose, etc.
A camp spot wont be chosen just because its one of the committee's favourite fishing holes since he was a youngun and with only two parking spots.
Well, least i hope not...

You're right on the money, Jim.

There are two (at least) private properties we are looking at in Vic high country. One has showers/amenities near cabins on uneven ground, with a campsite area about 500m away on level ground (this is my vague recollection of the description).

I have a personal preference for private as well, because then we have the ability to dictate to "unofficial attendees". In a public area, we can only ask politely but if people choose to stand in the middle of our (filmed) handing out of showbags and cause a ruckus there's little we can do.

(Woody - do me a favour and remember that point for the next meeting!)
