It costs money give me a break I just got back from overseas I have bills to pay

Forget the bills, they will still be there when you get around to paying them. At worst they take you to court to make you pay and if that happens it just delays payments even further, win win situation!!

I'm glad I don't need a new fridge, I have no idea what I'd buy if I did. Mind you I did see some 40L (or thereabouts) Evakools the other day for less than $600. Stand next to them was selling Engels and as I walked past I heard a guy having a go at the sales guy saying even Ray's would do a better deal than him, no idea what the price was but I had to laugh at them.

Was it the evakool that's the same as the waeco? I don't think I'd bother with those. Either and engel mf40 or evakool fridgemate

It could have been any Evakool, I wasn't interested in one so I didn't look too hard, I just saw the prices, but it was a genuine Evakool stand not just some retailer with a stall.

Beer/coke, food, bacon, sausages steaks.
Thinking maybe I'll get that vacuum seal bag thing

We used to store enough in our fridge for two blokes to last 4 days on the beach however we never used to take half the crap most people take and we'd pack differently as well. Beans, bacon, beer, butter, meat and milk, but we always cycled our fridge stuffs, i.e. 8 cans always cold and the rest outside the fridge, enough long life milk for brekky put in before bed the rest stored. Meat pretty much stayed in all the time but butter rarely did unless it was really hot and whenever you got a beer out you put another one in.

We take the same approach to fishing, we can cart 4 surf rods and enough gear to fish with down the beach with two people and a single trip yet most of the people we fish with take several trips because they take all sorts of unnecessary shit like tackle boxes, camp lights, bags, seats and all manner of other shit. We just rather do things easy with the least amount of packing, unpacking and loading.

We just brought one of those cold boxes (the ones that with the right ice packs last 15 days before the ice melts) and for us it's 60l capacity is huge because we are used to minimizing and adapting. Sure we could fill it if we wanted too but we've always taken the attitude of less = more and learning to pack efficiently is better than just filling the space you have.

Yeah I'm so used to ice boxes that I jeep forgetting putting a warm beer in a cold fridge will
Make it cold rather than melt the ice quicker haha.

Thats about the only advantage the big box might have for us, more beer cold at once and not as much swapping warm with cold, but we drink so little these days that in a 4 day trip we'd be lucky to kill a full slab.

Yeah when i camp I drink hard. When I hunt I only have a few. The icebox is for the meat
