Another good run is from Wollombi through the Yango state forrest and you come out at Howes Valley.

Dave.

We've not done either (yet). Most of our forest trails have been through Chichester and the wimpy ones in Watagans (where street cars and Land Cruiser drivers with extra large incontinence protection all go to "feel the wild, man!").

We're up for a run through any place that's half decent that has either great views or a quiet place to stop at for lunch, as long as the water is no deeper than about half a metre and there's not too much mud involved!

Na there both pretty good runs, you will be lucky to get water on your tires.

Dave.

Wife likes the sound of the Barrington Tops -> Scone run and so do I. Daughter has some gigs in Casino, Armidale and Muswellbrook coming up, when I've got those dates I'll know what weekends I'll have free.

Done mate.

There is a gold mine off on a side road to, they do tours but I am not sure when they do them.

Dave.

Is this the track that passes through Polblue Swamp? It covers some pretty high ground, 1530m above sea level around there, and this time of year it's going to be bloody cold. Reports are that Polblue Campground saw snow 4 days ago, so I might be heading to ARB for some snow chains before we do that run.

Seems they don't have snow chains in their catalog? Might have to pay Nathan a call!

Ok, I found them. Fancy hiding them away in "General Accessories - Other Accessories".

I have a snow jacket, its all good.

Anyone else from Newy or Maitland keen to tag along ?

Dave.

I haven't checked, was flat out this morning moving shit and I'm bloody tired now, just sitting down with my feet up for a while. I'll definitely get a set before the trip, and might even splash on a tow extension & a couple of bow shackles beforehand, just in case.

One thing that has never let me down is being over prepaired.

I have one of those tow bar recovery blocks.

Works well.

Dave.

Met up with Sypher today after I decided that I didn't know where the hell the great big red rock is and drove about 30km past Buladelah. I was just over half an hour late thanks to my own stupidity. Thankfully Shaun was patient and hung around!

We chatted about a run through Barrington Tops, Dave, and both thought it was a great idea - probably meet up in the park on the north side of Gloucester just through the roundabout and past the service station there on the road to Barrington. Maybe we should make a whole new thread for that?

Let's see if we can get a few guys going to it. A nice easy run with lunch in Scone sounds like a good day out.

When are these drinks taking place.I think Awaba is near where you guys are talking about and should be up there this weekend hopefully to pick the nav up from having the gen3 put in it

Originally this thread was for some time ago, it's been resurrected which is a little misleading, sorry!

That being said, we could organise something and check out your new mods! When is this happening?

I flew up a couple of weeks ago to pick her up as it was supposed to be finished and it wasn't but I am looking at next weekend.I will fly to newcastle and then make my way to Awaba near Toronto.she should go like shit out of a shangai with the gen 3 and 6 speed auto

I was thinking a new thread would help, both agree so a new thread it is.

Scott what day are you getting up this way ?

Dave.
