Diesel Particulate Filter

Can anyone tell me if it's just the autos or both auto and manuals that have this filter?!?!?? Have been told that both have it, but I'm 99%sure that the manuals don't that's why you don't have to be so anal about what motor oil you use. Although you still have to run basically water through them. lol but after hearing that I'm starting to second guess my thoughts and would like others feedback on this matter to see if I was thinking right!

Only auto's mate. My 08 manual definately doesnt have the DPF.

As I have an auto with a DPF fitted, they have become a nasty hobby horse of mine. But I won't climb back into that saddle today.

Only autos and not series 1 so only vehicles built after 9/06 (MY07).
The parts catalogue does actually show them for manual as well but they were not for Australia AFAIK.
