G'day everyone. I have an 08 D22 YD25 Navara. 193000kms. It's never had the timing chain done. I'm hearing a pretty loud rattle at times coming from the front of the engine. I think it's long over due now. Anyone know a good workshop to do this job. Moss Street area Logan would be ideal.
I have been told Steve Jordan from Nissan Auto Parts in Herbert Street is the go.

The timing chain is a reasonably big job. Get the tensioners checked (replaced is better) and make sure the oil galleys are cleaned. The main cause of timing chain wear is an auto tensioner that isn't pulling enough because it's been gummed up.

I don't know anyone who can service diesels in the Logan area..

Very likely that's timing chain noise.
From the factory, the lower chain is single width and has a tendency to break from 150,000 on.
YD25.com.au sell very good upgrade kits to double width and will also fit.
Sort it out asap before the chain breaks or the pistons will crash the valves.
