yea its unfortunate but I guess you can potentially get a good portion of it back when you go to sell, hilux and navara are both good choices if you consider resale, like I expect to get about $21000 for my D22 when I go to sell it purely because people seem to still want the low KM ZD30 over the YD25 even though its slower and uses more fuel.

I know so few people that buy a particular vehicle because of it's resale value that I wouldn't even consider it a factor.

Most farmers I know buy Yota's because they have done for years, and they just replace the old one with a new one when the accountant says it's time. They don't care about resale value they just take it in and trade it on the next one.

Others I have spoken to who use their cars for recreation more than work say they never really know how long they are keeping a car when they buy it so resale value falls down the list so far that it's barely considered, yet look on so many forums and the first thing people tell you they buy a car for, especially a Toyota is resale value.

I think the idea of resale value is just an automatic response people use to justify paying more for something than someone else did.

Yea agreed, problem is I only like 2 utes, the hilux being one of them and the navara being the other :/ I have owned a few navaras so I think its time for something else.

It's only a problem if you make it one. I very much doubt my next purchase will be a Navara, not even sure it will be a Nissan but the one thing I am sure of is that I wont give a fcuk what others think about the purchase unless they offer up the reddies for me to buy the ute they want me to have.

Atleast you don't want to buy a ****** Dmax...........I mean sheeeeet who'd own one of them.

There are lots of alternatives and reasons to buy them. If you're concerned about what you can tow, get something like a Navara with the power to do it. If you're into leather and don't mind the Village People you can get a Mazda. If you're worried about your car being stolen coz of the neighbourhood you're in, buy a Mahindra ... the list goes on.

Obviously Dave's happy with his choice. Hopefully he'll come on a track with the local guys one day and we can see how it performs.

Some people are dreaming with the prices they're asking for, for the ZD30 powered D22's.

Isuzu's are great 4x4's my bro and father Inlaw both have one and they haven't had any dramas with them.. I only hear good things about them and they can tow very well

Get a pic if you can.

I couldn't be happier with mine, I love the state of tune.

Not the most powerful, but very drivable.

Got a 18 month year old, haven't seen him for 9 weeks as his mum is a nut case.

Should know more tuesday, I would of bought a Space cab otherwise.

Oh and Krafty, go !@#$ yourself.

Couldn't be happier with the truck, up to 7000km's now.

Hoping to change jobs soon, so should cut down the km's.

Looks like there getting a new single cab Colorado at work, its alright now Dave, you won't be the only person driving one,
