I’m looking for advice I’ve done an engine swap in my d40 I’ve taken the motor out of a 4wd manual and put the motor into a automatic 2wd of the same year and model I’m having trouble getting the the motor to fire, it’s turning over but seems like it’s struggling, motor started fine in other truck just wondering if I’d have put ecu from the 4wd into the 2wd? Any advice? I’ve tried a new battery made a little difference but still no icing on the cake

It's not something I've done before!

Did you register the injectors in the new motor? The ECU stores the injector codes (you'll find these on the injectors) which affects fuel injection ... the car will run poorly (if at all) with the codes wrong. If you move the injectors from the old engine to the new, no problem, but it's probably easier to just register the new injectors.
