Hi guys.
Got two D40 utes, one a Rx ute as engine donar and the second a stx with a blown engine. Both 6 SPD manuals.
We've got engine.out of stx ute and on a pallet for parts. Now we have got the Rx engine out and it's on the block going back into engine bay.
I've followed a basic guide for removal I found online and separated box, removed sump and oil pickup to leave front diff in place, as well as removed ancillary parts.. I've left the dpf connected to bottom of turbo. And then lifted both engines out...
Gearbox mount nuts removed to allow us to lift box and engine mounts out at present.
We tried for a couple of hours today and while I have the gearbox spindle into the clutch plates I've not manage to align with bearing in clutch...
Any tips for alignment?
