car won't start

Hey guys. I am new to this site. I have a 2007 stx dual cab, loving the new car.
Went off road a bit on sunday and was awesome, but the thing won't start.
I turn the ignition on and spark the plugs then try and start the car, nothing happens it seems that everything cuts off no lights nothing works. The lighs came back on about 10 mins, so I tried to start it again with no luck. i waited 30 mins to try again and it started. Turned the car off and tried again after 20mins and it did the same thing( no go) CAN ANYONE HELP?

Check your battery connection first. Pull both terminals off n clean em. They may look good, but not so clean. Look at earth to body and engine.
Look at connection of cable into the terminal as well.

I agree, sounds like a battery terminal to me.

^ What they said. Could be a relay to as the D40's headlights are somehow controlled by the computer from memory.

and by disconnecting the battery you will reset the computer at the same time so it will erase any codes that have come up

Thanks guys checked the battery terminals and the positive was loose, Took it off and cleaned it, put it back on and no problems since then
