Nissan Navara ECU's are very tricky to crack as the anti tune software is pretty good so till now a "chip" or tuning box has been the only solution. We have finally cracked the code. So we can now play with many parameters by editing the original program hence can bet any chip/tuning box solution.

A guy here in NZ knows how to do the yd25 di ecu. The yd25 and zd30 navara ecu's are very similar.

It involves desoldering the factory chips and putting sockets on the board so you can fit reprogrammable chips. There is quite a bit involved in all that so imo its not worth it unless you are wanting to make well over 200hp with a bigger turbo and maybe even upgrading injectors and lift pumps if necessary.

For zd30 and yd25 di motors the no-limit chip from ebay is hard to go past for the money.

Its where we were some 8yrs ago with the Hayabusa ECUs..it just needed someone who had the perserverance to carry on and in many ways understand not only coding BUT security measures..some ECU's virtually have none..however the latest Ducati's are very painful.
None the less, these days all the Hayabusa, ZX14 ( they share the same ECU & architecture ) are free off the net..same as Triumphs.
Most people and I'd suggest 98% of the market just want a piggy back..have faith in a couple of tunes and that's it.

here's a pic many years ago of my road Busa when we got a dremel to get into the ECU case..black plug and white wires..nowadays the reflash is done thru the diagnostics plug.. interestingly the stock ECU has data logging cabability and switchable mapping.
Large inductive clamp is just to obtain an ignition output for rpms input into dyno
