G'day all,
Wiring up the 12volt charger, and am keen to know what others used as the ignition source for the blue wire?
The charger is in the rear of the tub.

Thanks boys and girls!

Mine is just connected to the 12v power source from the main battery. I had it installed by an auto sparky after I had some other issues, I can take photos of how he did it if you like. Wont be until later this afternoon when I get home though.

Thanks ant.
My instructions indicate it needs to be a source that is ignition based, so the charger only runs when the engine is running.
Presumably that is a backup to the isolator function.

If its just connected to the positive terminal, don't worry about the photo.

I was thinking of the radio or lighter as a power source, but they operate without the engine running, so that prompted the question.

I forgot to look at it last night sorry mate. I found the guys on the Redarc forum to be really helpful and the forum itself full of helpful info. I found this, might help you.

Thanks Ant! I contacted Redarc and they rang me. Unfortunately they are unable to advise the appropriate place to connect to in a D22. I was advised that if the ignition is left on, it will charge the third battery until it draws the main down below starting capacity, unless I find a power source that is only live when the alternator is producing.
Also told that no warranty unless fitted by auto electrician
