Hello . I diagnose and repair various vehicles, including Navaras, for a car yard, as it fits in around my regular hospital treatments.
The suspect is a 2010 yd25 navara, Thai built. No obvious performance goodies fitted, seems to be stock.
Quick summary. No boost. Vacuum to vote actuator is good. No signal to actuator. Wiring is good, earth's OK. Fitted new plug to MAF sensor as terminals not healthy. MAF appeared to be reading backwards before the plug repair. Changed MAF, no difference.
All the other data is within specs, no obvious faults.
No fault codes at all, which is odd.
The MAF reads 700 mg airflow with the engine stopped, ignition on. At idle it drops to about 500 mg, at revs approx 480 mg. Boost obviously is zero.
What have I missed? I am beginning to suspect the ECU, though if it were the ECU, I'd imagine there would be other strange faults.
Any suggestions as to where I might look next. Earth's anywhere strange?
I ran all my info past the local Nissan dealer, they had not seen this fault before. They kindly gave me a comprehensive checklist/spec list. All is good according to the list except the airflow numbers.
I apologise for the long story, I am running out of ideas.
Thank you for reading and thinking about it. Any ideas would be welcome.
