Hi all

Just just bought a 2006 ST-R 3l Di for towing a 19" caravan. Have I bought the correct ute for this purpose?

Regards

Welcome mate.

It's not a Falcodore, so you're off to a good start.

I'll let those with more info answer as to whether it's the best of the Jap utilities for towing a caravan.

Cheers.

Hey mate.

Welcome to the forum, how heavy is the caravan.

2T or there abouts it should be fine.

Dave.

Hi Leeman46,

My old man towed a 21 foot Regent Parklane Caravan for years and frothed over how good his ST-R towed it.

Reckon you're onto a winner.

Hey mate,

I regularly tow a 19ft boat (2 tonne) with my Nav and it goes alright. The new suspension made a huge difference as it now sits flatter, more solid, and doesn't bounce around on the highway. I would recommend this modification if you're going some distance.

Take it easy if in 5th gear around 70-100km/hr and change gears as soon as it starts to struggle. Should tow all day long!

Congrats on the Navara purchase and welcome to the forum, there is heaps of good info on this forum! A shame you didn't buy the better of the two models; the mighty D40!
