That tow bar the the XLT comes with is just plain dumb and reduces the departure angle to zero and unless i wanted to plough my sister farms paddocks i really have no need or want for one.

I chose the TJM rear protection/step tow bar.

Put down the deposit today and got the finance sorted so now its just a matter of when i can pick it up.
That's a good bar i have seen one the hitch point is almost 150mm higher than the plough sure it rated at 3 t but anything more would need a f truck anyway.

Its about the best i can do as far as height unless i get a custom job.

Are you still coming along in march Nathan!,

If you guys will have me, do you think a ford will be allowed to tag along:hmmmm2:

maybe i can just hang at the back so no one can see the ford badge :dontknow:

We might have to get a cardboard Nissan badge and cable tie it to the grill for the day and say it's the new model

Jason's an admin as well (was an admin before I became one). I just dribble more **** than he does, so people see my name more often.

I didn't get the sliders. I thought about it, but we want Scotty's sliders with the checkerplate panel so we'll wait until we've got a little cash before we do that. We're having a small struggle at the moment, it's nothing major and we'll get over it, but we have to be a little careful.

Yep a split radiator hose will cause the water to poor out and it will over heat the motor and if you are a complete MUPPET and dont realise the temp gage or the smell or the steam or the trail of water it will most definitely FARK up the engine.

How good are ford to replace the entire thing, Good work ford

it sure seems like they have picked up the ball since the days of the BA falcon! I was lucky mine only had a small water leak.

Im glad You chose to buy a ranger i like them alot, and knowing youll put it through its paces will show us how hard they go offroad

The ST that was just in the prang had the radiator replaced a few months back at the same time as the front diff because it was intermittently leaking water out of the bottom near the core, it only seemed to do it when under load but it made it very hard to pin point. It was the white stain that made it clear that it was even leaking at all.
Then a few days before the acko i noticed the top rubber mounts were shot and the new radiator was wobbling all over the joint.
the funny thing was it wa booked in for a service and for them to check a few more thing for warranty, radiator mounts, rear door handles hard to open, ac vents making a ruckus when i turn the car on and off or change position of the vents (eg floor to face) little rattles in the dash and the clunking in the driveline which in hindsight may well of been the diff that let go.
The dealer rang me in the morning to see if i was coming in and i said prob no need now!! lol

BUT despite all those little things and one not so minor i still loved my Nav and would still buy another one if the Ranger pans out to be a **** box.
Also contrary to allot of others nissan were always great to me in regards to warranty, and i really couldnt fault them.
yeah i had allot of stuff fixed but the main thing is they got fixed, as far as im concerned all cars will have problems some bigger then others, the main thing is how well the company handle those faults, as long as they get fixed and im not in there every day then it should be ok.
