air con leak passenger side

Hi , I am a newby, I got an D22 2001 which I love and has been great getting me to wherever no probs... however when aircon is on it is dripping on passenger side, some humid hot WA days constantlydripping, mats are soaking wet ...it is not coolant just water. had it looked at twice now, one thought it was heaterpump, but water wasn't coolant, other thought its excess condensation that got nowhere to go. trying to find a fix...is it a common fault?was suggested to replace hose with larger one? Is it sth I can do myself, what hose though?

There has been a few reported A/C problems in recent months, some with D40's and some with D22's. Have a search for "air con" or some such thing and you should find a few threads which might give you some ideas.

Look, mine's a fairly old D21, so might be a different problem. The exchanger inthe cabin has to drain the water somewhere. In the D21 it's a rubber hose to the engine bay, above the exhaust pipe. It has a habit of getting clogged, and then it leaks like yours, more so around corners. Try and find our where it drains to, and see if its got anything in it.

I wiggle a screwdriver around in mine. Works a treat.

I have a 2008 D40 ST-X mine was the same passanger side floor wet it has only done it once it was coming from the aircon outlet located just under the glove box

If it's an 08 STX it could be that the a/c hose is too short, Nissan were fixing the STX's under warranty

Mine an 08 STX and Nissan replaced the elbow of the drain hose as there is a known problem. I think the D22 is included. Never had my Nav serviced by Nissan and no questions asked when informed them of the problem.

regarding leaking aircon when i first got my d40 it was leaking in pasenger side as well took it back to nissan . the outlet tube was angeled back so ran in to cabin to fix they changed the angel of the drain pipe

Check the drain pipe which is located on the left side in the engine bay on the fire wall.

I've just noticed my 08 stx is leaking.
will Nissan fix if I'm NOT original owner?
If not what do I need to do?
