Looking at buying a set of sunraysia rims with a set of cooper atv's.

Specs are as follows;

Rims-
16 x 8J YF 05 12
they are 6 studd

Tyres -
245/70R16
Load rating - 107S.

I know that the standard size tyres on the stocko nav rims is 265/70/16. So would there be any issues with having a slightly narrower tyre?

And should those rims fit ok?

Cheers...

Well, for one, your narrower tyres will also be smaller in diameter, and there is a legal limit in how much smaller than stock size you can go in overall wheel diameter... (just done the math, you'll be going from a 31" to a 29" tyre)

And two, why would you want to? There is nothing to be gained by going to a smaller tyre... (apart from marginal savings in the wallet dept.)

Three, your proposed steel rims will be way too wide for the narrowness of the tyre that your proposing. Not only are you looking at a rim that is a whole inch wider than stock, you're trying to fit a narrower tyre to it.

And four... Shop around, coopers are heaps overpriced for what they are.

Only reason for bringing it up was because they are for sale for $500 for the lot.

Wont be buying now tho, ha.

Cheers for the tips.

Was gonna say same. I didn't think a 245 would fit on an 8" rim. Weird, look around there is plenty if options out there
