Hey guys,
The 4x4 indicator light on the dash of my D21 is always on even when in 2wd. I'm sure that its not in 4x4 but the light is always on and it's bugging me. Anyone have any tips to get it to go out?
Cheers

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming there is a switch on the 4wd shift stick. It'll be under the rubber gaiter. Perhaps you could access it form under the car. Either switch is broken or misaligned.

The switch is threaded into the transfer case on most vehicles, just find it and unplug to see if light goes out. if it does then the switch is faulty. if light stays on then fault is in wiring loom or dash.

Thanks,
I cant seem to find the switch, I've looked under the vehicle and tried looking under the rubber near the 4x4 shifter but can't find anything that looks like a switch. Is it the type of switch that can be pressed and turned on and off manually or something that is a bit like a sensor? I know it disengages from 4x4 when I put the shifter into 2wd it is just a bit annoying always looking down and seeing this light on!
by the way thanks for the help :)

Not if it's threaded into the transfer case. Get under the car and look for wires going into the transfer case. Close to where it connects, there should be a plug and socket you can disconnect. Then follow Peter's instructions
