This time I removed the boot, marked the pin with black marker then with a seal remover tool scribed the "tightened" seated position..
Now remove from idler arm, fit other end and see where the arm sits in relation to the idler arm...

So I do that and guess what! Have a look at this little Win for the day!

Here's some handy tools for the box... This dangerous looking little thing is great! Used it to re pack the c.v's when I had them out and apart!
Used it here to push some "solidified c.r.c" into the tie rod boots! Thats right gents, we only use the fancy c.r.c here at Zedly's Garage- thank you!

Seal removal tools, come in a pack of 4, if you haven't got'em, get'em!

Make sure you support the steering arm as you wack at it! Try and keep the stress off the steering boxs bushes and seals..

Ummm, I used the shops heater supply tool... worked a treat ;) not one drop of penetrative liquid need... A lot of heat on this one and a few decent walks and out she popped.. Thaaaaank frig!

What do you think, cut one end off and hammer it into the ground!

Make a post for a hot plate out of it...

Bro I'm co
Ooooonewwww parts ;) These look the goods! I thought well priced, considering good ball joint and bush will set you back over $120 a side easy! Not worth driving to the local shop... Chassis bush was an extra $40 per side though.. still, better than finding a press or buying a G Clamp removal tool for the ball joints and bushes from superbleep..

Bro I'm confused how come you needed an extra bushing, I thought you got them all with the control arm kit . . .

Howdy bloke, yeah I was confused too and found out, the lower control arms only come with the forward inner bush and ball joints!
The rear inner bush that goes into the chassis is separate! for some reason? One mechanic i spoke too said the chassis one doesn't wear as much as the front, but I purchased the rear one just to be on the safe side.. He went on to say the main reason they replace the rear one is seized rear pins!

Me, I can't replace just one though "on a 3000000000klm plus unit" your there and she's apart, so another 30 minutes removing the chassis bush and $40 bush, you'll have that peace of mind eh
