Afternoon men, quick question. Got a 2010 D22 ST-R. Looking at stepping up into BFG MT. Not sure if i should go 245 75 16 or moving to 265 75 16. Currently i have some crap HT 255 70r 16 on them.
Will I need to put a lift kit on it if I go for the 265. My other concern is the power issue/fuel use. I had a patrol with 285's and I noticed both were quite effected.
Anyone running BFG MT, I hear there pretty good and get good wear.
Cheers Rappa

The standard tyre size from factory is 265/70/16 and is an A/T tyre so 265/75/16 will fit easy.
My experience with older style BFG M/T's was that they were very noisy when they wear a little, don't know if much has changed with the newer style.

General rule of thumb is that any M/T tyre will wear out quicker than an A/T tyre cause of the aggressive tread pattern.

when i bought my nav it already had the 265/75/16's on it with standard suspension and i had no troubles with scrubbing and or clearance. have since upgraded to a 2" old man emu lift. as for fuel and power loss i cant give you any comparisons there but reading around the forum its most noticable when taking off apparently a little sluggish with the bigger tyre.
as for the bfg muddy i was leaning towards them but was going to be a month wait and i was impatient so ended up running the mickey thompson 4 ribs and am stoked with them. the muddy's will be louder on road and wear alot quicker. just gotta ask yourself if you really need them or just keen on the looks.
