I had the A/C more or less completely replaced, which involved the entire dash being removed to replace the evaporator.
Since getting the car back I have the VDC and slip lights on and they don't clear as normal after driving a short distance.
There are no codes (according to my cheapo OBD2 scan tool) and no CEL, so I assume there is nothing serious either damaged or disconnected, but the steering angle sensor might be failing to re-calibrate.

Is this a reasonable assumption, and is there any point in inspecting the clock spring/steering angle sensor?

I've searched the forum and it seems a similar issue in earlier models could be fixed by getting a Nissan dealer to 're-program' the VDC, which I take to mean re-flashing the software.
There's nothing on this for Navaras after 2007 though.
Getting to a dealer is a major pain and I'll try anything I can before taking that option.
