    lift kits

I have the TJM Golds, good shocky offroad maybe a tad stiff on road but that was most likely the torsion bars and leaf springs(EFS) as it is settling nicely now bout 5 months since being installed, everyone says bilsteins are the go but im happy enough with mine, D22's are a rough ride anyway.

    rydge ryder 12000 winch

I have one of these winches, it was easy to mount but that was on a D22, it was just a matter of turning winch around like flipping it for rope to come from bottom, maybe the mounts are different on that bar. Gave it a service with good grease first as well. Also I put the control box on the...

    UHF Radios

I have the oricom, mainly for price as it was a good price, plus I wanted a full din radio and mounted it directly under my Cd player in the dash, looks good there and is functional. I think the main difference is the quality of the voice on the speakers, and sure a GME or Uniden would have...

What's every ones thoughts Mt or At

Efs 2" lift with TJM gold series shocks, found it a bit stiff initially but its softening up slowly. The 03 model D22 (which is what I have) came with standard 255 70 16's but most run with a 265 70 16 as there a more common tyre, which I think is a good thing if your of somewhere remote and...

What's every ones thoughts Mt or At

I got the Bridgestone AT 697's, tho wish I had of put more money in it and got Mickey Thompson's 4 rib or Coopers ST maxx, got bogged and wouldn of if I had a more aggressive tread pattern, in saying that the 697's are a good tyre for Tarmac and dirt/sand tracks just not in much mud, I would...

    Twisted/warped torsion bars?

Your right it will make it stiff, got the same year model nav with efs TB and rear leaf springs and even with a steel bar and winch its still stiff both front and rear(comfort leaf springs). Expected really as these are more of a work horse than tourer but still was not as I had hoped for when...

    cheap hid spotties

I had these on my nav, 55w 6000k lumens and 7' internal ballast type, wiring was ok but replaced the on off switch to a different type and wired it into my dash hi low toggle, I took them of as for me the 6000k lumens was slightly blue and didn go well for my eyes, they lit up the road ok but...

Snorkel and Duel Batteries on 03 d22?

Hi, I have the same year nav, I also went the Y25 piping to bypass the prefilter, you have 2 spots under the bonnet where you can fit a second battery on the 03 model, 1st is up front passenger side where basically your pre cleaner and piping would go, directly opposite starter battery but only...

    remote winch plug

I removed the plug, ran the extra wires needed to relocate plug, sealed up old plug hole, no probs, would of ran it into cab as well with a rocker switch but changed my mind. Easy enough to do, and for safety a good quality battery isolator on main battery positive wire to winch is good insurance.

    remote winch plug

Yeah mine is and no probs. I assume you mean extending the control wires from the control box so you can put the wireless receiver and or wired winch control remote in a different spot, if so no problems as these are small wires (some even mount these in cab with a rocker switch for winching in...

High quality spin reels VS cheapo

It's interesting as some of the cheaper shimano gear is not to bad and they still give a 10 year warranty with it, for example as a Fishing guide which is what I used to do based out of Cairns I personally took a cheaper reel, Sienna 4000 up to Seisa and was onboard a Mothership working from...

    Should i buy a 2003 d22..?

Hi, Bought mine, same model year, with similar K's, stock and few small bumps and bruisers but not to bad, and mechanically pretty good, so after the mods needed like tyres, suspension, winch and bar, uhf, spotties and full oil changes ect I'm probably up there now, where the price is that your...

    Snorkel Install

I just used an 89mm hole saw from bunnings, came in a kit of about 5 other sizes and cost under $20, had to have the misses pouring water on at the same time to keep things cool, but it done the job, even if it burnt out my $30 odd bunnings drill. Just need to exchange the drill at some stage...

    diff locks

Interesting read and makes sense, although I question how many apart from extreme 4wd peeps or a very severe incline that possibly shouldn be attempted that would be in a position to flip there vehicle backwards from a rear locker only, but then I guess it's possible.

loud noise when turning full lock

Steering stops, as above post suggests, put a bit of grease on them.

    Torsion bar change

For me it was really stiff/harsh ride in the front BUT that was with an alloy bar on only. Was not nice and a little disappointed at the time and could feel it wanting to push in corners, although in all fairness knew it would be as was told that it would be until I had extra weight put in up...

    3.0 litre EGR/Butterfly/Swirl Mod

Done mine also today, found the previous owner had put a thin bit of gal tin there already and had lost the bolt on the bottom of the EGR piping(a real bugger of a spot to get into), but had not done the butterfly/hose piping so put the SS plate in and took of all the EGR piping to re gasket...
