Hey guys, had the D22 bogged in a hole today. Mud was just above the diff, and exhaust tip was half submerged. We were stuck for about 2 hours

Just wondering what I need to check / service? I am checking rear drums tommorow afternoon, but am wondering else what needs checking?

Cheers!

just clean out all of the mud and check for any damage under the car. i used to leave mud under the car until it dried and let it fall off, but that can cause damage to the car.

How wet was the mud, If its more like muddy water think about checking diffs for water, Unless you have diff breathers up high

@calcal, Yeah all mud (well 99%) has been cleaned, no damage noticed.

@joshman, My diffs don't had any mods, so I would say the stock breather is the same level as the diff? And what about the front diff, would that have the same issue?

@d22dave, Yeah it was wet, what is the easiest way to do this? And if there is water in there, is it just as easy as draining it all out and refilling?

Just take the plugs out and have a look, If there is water in there just leave them drain for a while then refill and do a search on here what others have done for extending the diff breathers

Hey mate, some d22's had the breather cap on the diff, and some came with an extension up to the underside of the tray. Stick your head under and have a look.

The front diff will be right, it's got a breather tube that goes into the top of the engine bay.
