Ahh and a 1.75 ltr Jack Daniels bottle for $32 at walmart

And that has nothing to do with the fact that Australia on average has wages 5-7 times that of the US? Sure there will always be some items priced differently due to demand and production but one day people in this country will realise that their constant demand for higher wages is also driving up the cost of living which increase the basics to a price well over countries like the US. Cars are not entirely different, higher wages means a higher cost of living and cars are just one of the items that increases in cost.

people over here though just don't get economics though... every night on the news its "MOAR WAGES!!! RARARA...ITS ALL GILLARD'S FAULT I DON"T DRIVE A PORSCHE :tazzy: "

A few years ago it was Howard's fault we didn't all drive Porsche's. Those inconsiderate bastard pollies who won't just give us more money and drop the costs of items in stores.

Compared to Gillard though Howard wasn't to bad.

it drives me mental in this country that we as a group of consumers are forced to pay as much money as we are for (more or less) the exact same vehicle in that in North America is as much as 1/3 the price

locally there is a 'specialist' dealer here selling a 2012 Camaro rss for 120k, i know i can buy a brand new SS camaro for 38k in the US

this applies to most vehicles, and lets not get started on the used car market, a 10 year old F250 is NOT worth 50 grand in North America, but apparently it is here

RHD conversion is or was in the order of 10 grand

From what I heard on the radio a few months back it's the farming milking everything and stashing large wads of cash around their properties to keep it from the tax man. I don't really know how many farmers actually do it but at the time there was 6 farmers who rang up saying they had wads of cash stashed around the farm to avoid claiming it as wages. Whenever I buried money as a kid I could never find it again, there is no way I'd ever bury a wad of cash.

Every government has been the same, people are as blinded by economics as they are by politics.

I doubt it with farmers, There is so little product sold to individuals, maybe few bales of hay or few bags of spuds, but most things leaving real farms leave in semi,s or b-doubles

It was mainly dairy farmers from memory but it's not hard to hide cash if you try. The problem I would see would be hiding enough to really make a difference a tax time.

don,t know about other business,s but farmers have a big enough scam splitting their income with there wifes, suppose its the same in any business

I suppose any business can find it's own dodgy ways to avoid tax and it's probably those business men who spend their time whinging that taxes costs them so much. But for the average joe legal ways to avoid tax are harder to come by so they resort to whinging about how unfair things are in this country compared to a country where a dollar sign appears to be half the value of their own dollar sign.

Not a massive fan of yank tank trucks - just too big for what they can do - althoug the raptor^ is pretty cool , the svt lightning too. Iv personally got a soft spot for old chevy c10s, they'r so small (relatively speaking) and tough.
My next door neighbour has got one of only 2 or 3 dodge ram srt v10s in Aus. Viper v10 engine. Now THERE is a penis extension. Bloody tough ute but.

That Titan looks awesome. I like the tool boxes built into the lower corner of the tub behind the rear wheel. I love the dash and interior. Would even be happy with the V6TD from the new D40.
