underbody protection/bash plates

Im looking at making my own protection for the underbody of my navara,to protect the sump and transfer case aswell as the fuel tank.
Has anyone mad there own bash plates and if so how did you mount them and off what? or would anyone have there own design and dimensions to go off.

I think there is a thread which has drawing for bash plates, but it might be for the D22. Otherwise there is plenty of pictures of bash plates on D40, try an advanced search for "bash plates" and check out all the pics people have posted.
