Transmission oil for manual 2012 d40

Hi all first time posting am having trouble with my 4wd so am going to change the sensors on the box and change the oil so was wanting advice on which oil to use or is it the same as the gearbox oil also I've read that I need to change the filler cap but can't seem to find a new one anywhere
Any advice would be helpful thanks

The oil manufacturers have lube guides on their websites. You don't say where you're from but here's an example for the Australian oil brand Penrite: https://penriteoil.com.au/product-selector#/

All the manufacturers have a product selector. It's easy as you just input your rego number and state and it gives a full list of products with the required quantities.
