Hi all. Just wanted to share my experience which I hope might help someone with a throttle position sensor problem.
So a mates zd30 Nav would start but not move off idle. He was ready to order the throttle position sensor but I had a closer look. On the throttle pedal assembly there is a micro switch that is triggered as soon as the pedal is depressed. Problem was, the rubber cushion that is on the metal pedal arm had come away and probably from heat, "welded" itself to the micro switch and kept the switch permanently depressed. The ecu obviously could not determine that the pedal was being pushed down. Anyway, peeled off the little rubber cushion and tossed it and the old girl was back to normal. Ridiculously easy fix but had us head scratching there for a while. Hope this helps someone at some stage. Cheers!
