Td27 flywheel

Hey everyone.

I'm looking for some help. I need the measurement of a td27 block bellhousing surface to the clutch surface of the flywheel. I'm build a direct injection Td27. (Calling it a bd27) and I'm machining a custom aluminum flywheel as this motor was never sold in north America. I believe this measurement to be somewhere around 1.5 " or about 38mm. Thanks

Great Idea, I need a flywheel too.
Would be nice to have a billet unit with replaceable surface.
Other sources suggest the 4cyl diesel gets a little lumpy at idle when the flywheel is too light. I think one guy went to 8kg (17.6lbs).

i suggest having a read up on the TD42 crankshaft problems, especially related to flywheels.
