Hi. Does anyone know if I can put a D40 steering wheel onto a D22? And use all the steering wheel controls?
Also, can I fit cruise control to a D22?
And remote central locking?

You might want to specify the year model of D22 you have, and which D40 you had in mind.
Assuming both have airbags, any swap may need to consider how that is handled. Could be expensive if the airbag/airbag light needs resetting?

Given your statement, it sounds like you have a fairly recent one?

My old 03 D22 ZD30 didn't come with airbags and the centre of my std wheel kept falling off so I bought a cheap Momo ripoff and hub from eBay and changed it over - no issues but obviously doesn't involve steering wheel based stereo controls etc.

I`ll be watching this as my 08 D22 (Jap) wheel is starting to wear out at the top so am looking at getting a replacement, i don't mind if its just another D22 one but a D40 would be nice too, stereo control won't matter but its air bagged so ill keep an eye out.

search you tube as I have watched a 10min how to replace a d40 steering wheel on there a few months ago. you can clearly see all the plugs involved and cross check.
