Hi everyone would like to say im new to this forum and navara's in general
Would like to know if someone can help me please when i turn the ignition on reds it makes a rattle sound for a little bit then goe's away is this normal or am i worrying for no reason?

What type of Nav do you have ?
Petrol or diesel

2007 D40 STX 4x4 turbo diesel auto i hope its normal as its getting me worried a bit thanks

Honestly havent heard of that from the Diesel.Mine is petrol and has the death rattle on cold start and is quite normal.
Maybe one of the boys with an oiler can jump in here with some info.

It does happen on cold starts maybe a common thing with navara'a

It's just cold diesel injectors. Don't worry about it, it's normal.

thanks i'm glad its normal as its my first diesel vehicle

more likely its timing chain being tightened up as oil pressure comes up. ie cam timing is a little bit out till oil pressure is up.
