I am considering purchasing a Navara ST-X V6TDI.

Just a couple of questions.

1. I was told by a salesman that a diff locker cannot be fitted to the vehicle. Is that correct?

2. I would like your opinions re the vehicle. Good and negative are welcome.

3. What modifications you would suggest.

1. There was some talk about diff lockers not being made for atleast the front diff in earlier models, as it doesn't effect me I haven't kept up with current news on the matter. No doubt someone coming along later will have some information on that.

2. Most people here that have them say they are good, most owners of the previous models also say they are good. Every make will have some issues and every make will have it's detractors but there is a thread dedicated to the 550 and plenty of other threads where 550 mods come up so have a search in the D40 section for more information.

3. mods would depend on what you can afford and what you want to do with the ute.
