Hi, i eventually got round to changing the dreaded inverted rear leafs on my Navara D40, everything went ok but i noticed the fasteners dont have any locking devices on them ie. nyloc or spring washers. Could this be a problem for them coming loose as it seem against any advise you usually get for fastners on something that is going offroad. I used the origional bolts and nuts, they were in as new condition for a 7 year old vehicle, none were siezed or had any sign of corosion, give me your thoughts gentlemen please

I think you said it all yourself.....7 years without problems so far. If I recall correctly, my Old Man Emu greasable shackles don't use spring washers or locknuts of any kind either.

+1 - 7 years without issue = likely to be not an issue. Loctite is a good suggestion providing it's not overtightened which could cause extra strain - by its very nature, it needs to be flexible!
