qd32 turbo

hi all, just joined up tonite, ive just picked up a 2000 navara d22 dual cab, goes well, but id like to fit a turbo or know what mods i can do to get it moving better
also is it possible that around 100 kays it has a miss, pretty new to diesels, so unsure if im hearing things
any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
