Got call from Nissan Australia today.
It's official, the crappy drivability problem is "normal operation". There is no known fix by Nissan or third party (that I was told about).
It never bothered me before I knew there wasn't and isn't going to be a fix, because it's not a problem you come across in daily driving, but now I know there's no fix and no help from Nissan, I feel cheated and ignored.
Imagine buying a car that can't be driven in one of its gears and the manufacturer says "no, that's how it's supposed to work".
