Why is it that when a "party" loses an election the aren't unemployed, they just get to call themselves "the opposition" and still get payed the same as if they're still running the country?
Party "A" loses, becomes "opposition", party "B "gets in, 4 years later party "B" who sucks gets voted out so party "A" who lost the last election cause they sucked end up ruling again - rinse, repeat. Is the only way to stop this cycle to shoot them when they lose an election? Any better alternative?
All hypothetical of course! I wouldn't condone shooting politicians.
A public flogging perhaps? lol!
I hate politics
I hate voting
I hate both parties pissing, bitching and moaning about who plonked their twinky in a hookers winky
I hate more the Liberals and their always getting up and campaigning against Labor by slagging off the construction industry.
Call me biased but...
What type of Australian gets up and tells everyone that a profession doesn't have the right to earn what they do and questions the fairness of the wage rates because they didn't go to uni or didn't do this or that.
Construction workers, just as any labour based workers, work hard in an environment that is both physically and mentally challenging, and risk injury, whether immediate or future long term like injuries. We go through four years of training both on the job and theoretical and practical education at tafe. We are then declared qualified by the employers who trained us and the relevant tafe authorities. Some trades (as mine is) are required to then sit rigorous licencing testing to obtain the relevant licences to work in their trade and be responsible for the work they carry out.
Who says one bloke who goes to uni to work in their said profession is more entitled to their wage than a bloke who goes through a similar amount of time training in their profession to work as a tradesman.
Corruption grows wherever corruption can breed.
How dare politicians have the sack to label our whole industry as corrupt, or any industry in particular as wholly corrupt. How dare they question anyone's wage rates and what they are entitled to.
That's like a a construction worker saying "they all root prossies on the tax payers dime. Why should they get paid so much?"
You are entitled to what you are paid for the job you do as agreed and set out by your employers, industry standards, relevant work place relations bodies, etc. Just as politicians earn what they earn for the responsibilities their job carries.
How about a fairly run campaign where you run on your own merits and policies and leave the public out of it?
No? You can't do that?
Didn't think so
F#@k politics
