I have owned a 2006 Navara for a few years and over the last few weeks changed the head gasket. I thought at the time i should remove the wheel and internal guard to get a better view of the birds nest of a fuel line running under the inlet manifold and take a photo for assembly later but hindsight is a cruel mistress. I was in a rush to get the head off so i could order the correct sized gasket as there are several variants classed by thickness.
While the head was out i had easy access to the turbo that needed attention so while waiting for the gasket set i broke that down, cleaned and rebuilt it.
After a bit of a muck around from a manufacturer I received a valve regrind gasket set, changed the valve seals, injector orings, a new head gasket and torqued it to the appropriate settings. Fitted the cam shafts, timing chain and started to plug in electrical plugs, coolant hoses and fuel lines.
Now after replacing the head gasket Im not sure if i have the fuel lines on the side of the inlet manifold orientated correctly yet alone how the several fuel line pipes bracket is fitted to the manifold.
If anyone with a 2006 navara yd25ddti could take a few photos, a video or has any information about the orientation of the fuel lines would be appreciated thank you.
Along with this I connected the hoses how I thought it ran without fitting the brackets, now it turns over and sounds like it has compression but not firing.
I hadn’t fitted the pipe directly from the pump and dropped some diesel on the floor. After fitting this the pump is still not holding pressure.
Any ideas, steps or tests i could follow to resolve this attached are some photos of the area.
Thanks for any help.
