hey guys we were gifted a 88 navara dual cab 4wd with a 2.4l petrol engine and it seems pretty gutless,any tips on how to improve performance

Extractors and a tune will help a bit, beyond that you will need to either look at turboing or engine swaps.

D21 is the model. 1986 to 1996.

Z24s is the engine - carburettor 2.4L petrol.

There's a few guys on here with similar models, Pinelli used to have the same but he engine swapped it, D21_dualcab_4x4 has the same, plenty of others around.
