Gday all, just thought i'd introduced myself here.
Just entered the Nav owner world and pretty happy so far.
Picked up a 2006 D22 3.0L Navara. Paid $17000
Steel Bull Bar
Canopy
Dual Battery's
BFG All Terrains
UHF
Electric Brake Controller
168000km
I went ahead and tinted the windows, swapped the canopy out for a roll bar and tonneau cover (more practical for me). Will keep the canopy for longer trips, it's not hard to put on. Also changed the UHF antenna cause it had a crappy one on there. I also have a YD25 genuine snorkel ready to go on when I have time next week.
I put some LF XGT's on straight away. I didn't get HID's partly because of the price but also because it bugs me how long they take to warm up. It's only about 5 seconds, but i'm a Gen Y and want everything now!
This vehicle is just a light tourer for me. I bought it mainly to tow my horse float. So the majority of the mods will be performance based. Will start with a set of gauges before doing the EGR blank. Then chip and exhaust. Might then look at intercooler and cranking the turbo up a bit.
Probably won't bother with big tyres or suspension lifts because my play car is a Suzi Jimny. It's just about to get bigger tyres, body lift, snorkel and exhaust. So i have all my fun in that.
Looking forward to meeting some people off the forum, I was on the Patrol forum when I owned my GU 4.2 Wagon. Will contribute where I can but there'll probably be more questions asked than answered haha.
I work at Rays Outdoors, so if you need info on any products, i'm handy for that
Cheers All.
TF.
