found your site while looking for info on d22,s trading in a 2001 rodeo with over 400.000 km on it . Cant beat the price on d22 and i like the idea that still have a gear stick on the transfer case. Are the thailand ones alright.

Welcome to the forums fatemu,

You'll find a bit of information on Thai V Japan in the D22 section. I think the general consensus is they are both ok but there was some changes with the Thai models, although someone else will no doubt know more, I'm just the welcoming committee, holding the door open for people to come in!

:welcome: mate..

I have a jap made and we have 2 thai made at work...no probs, take your pick.

:cheers!:

Welcome,

I have a 2010 Thai built ST-R and it has been excellent. They are a proven, simple 4X4 Dual cab. I believe that the Jap built D22's were marginally better than the Thai vehicles, mostly paint finish etc. That said at 30 odd grand, or less down south for a 4X4 Common Rail Turbo Diesel 5 speed A/C, Pwr Str, Abs, decent sized wheels, nice trim etc.. they are excellent value.

It was a good choice for us.

Regards
Greg
