motor problems

hi all need some advice my 04 d22 zd30 motor is playing up first gear to third are fine and then when i go to fourth it lacks power and it starts coughing and splutering and i replaced the fuel filter but that didnt fix it hoping someone could give me some advice please thanks.

sounds like the usual gearbox neutral switch fault.

how do i go about fixing that problem i noticed a fair bit of oil on my turbo and i thought that my turbo was on the way out

a quick search will find all the info on the NPS.

oil on the turbo is more than likely just from blowby. search catch can.

had same problem gearbox sensor approx $150n part. good luck.
