Hey guys, Been wanting a Turbs Diesel Nav for a while and to get rid of my petty patrol. So put the patrol up for sale and sold last week. Had a look at d22's on the weekend and saw there was a qfleet auction coming up on wednesday so went and picked this D40 for a good price.

Its a 2.5TD 07 Model and its got:
Winchbar
Warn Electric Winch
Dual batteries with big bluetop for second
Long range tank 120l

Plans are to put a maybe 2-3" under it 33's and Rims.

And a few questions.
Whats the best lift out there?
What size lift do you need for 33's?
Whats the best rim size, offset etc. to run on them?

Cheers all.

good pick up

look thru the D40 section in main forum or D40 garages. Heaps of answers already there matey

enjoy!

Yeah at a government auction.

Cheers, had a good look through.

Ordered my lift on saturday goes in next week. Then 33"s and rims.

Went for the EFS lift cause my mate owns TJM and buy alll my gear from them so got it for really really good price. It was the biggest lift they did for the D40 which is a 40mm but got 60mm out of it so pretty happy.

Now need help, should I go 285 (33s) or 265 (32s). I took a wheel off the nav and tried a 33" on 15" rim left over from my patrol. Sorry for the bad quality, that is with the hub jacked up to the centre of the wheel height so thats how it would about sit.

What do you guess reckon I should go?

Got my rear bar finished yesterday, pretty happy with how it turned out. Might just put some checker plate across the brackets to make it look real tidy.

I don't think the rims look all that bad since the bighorns went on, I just can't work out what rims I want. So till im positive I will be happy with some ill just run the steelies.

Sliders will be next thing getting done.

But for the time being here is the rear bar I built on the weekend, one solid pipe bent up to keep it extra strong for if I do happen to back into anything keep that gate and tub dint less.

Also here is a photo of my old shorty ute I built last year was heaps of fun and drove anything but was time for something better on fuel and more comfy.

Got the front leveled out but the space between the stock uca and the coil bucket is very small. New upper control arms are going to have to come at some stage.

Went for a drive to Awoonga Dam on sunday its about a hour and a half from Rocky, front suspension has settled so coil bucket contact is better. Was a prime day, went for swim then headed into Gladstone for a look and some lunch then back to Rocky.
