Just to introduce myself guys and say hi :cheers!:

Site looks awesome BTW , I am about to purchase a new D40 Navava and if anyone has any opinions please share.. up untill today after comparing them side by side.. i ws going to go the STX , but I have changed my mind, Now im going the ST, Its a little more suited to me , and i just dont see the 10 K value in the STX- and 16K for the 550 which I basically signed up for last week,

PS My brother sells these things , so i have test driven all for about a week each .

The 550 is great but a bit out my budget even with the family discounts..

the STX is good , and i would be driving it home today if i could screw a couple more grand out my brother, but that did not happen, so i have I have this weekend to Think about it and i am leaning towards the ST the more and more i think about it, the more and more i think it is suited to what i want to do with it and plus I like the console and trim more than the STX ( well that what i keep telling myself)

Either one of them will be an auto and have the following

Hard lid, tubliner and Nudge bar with decent spotties and tow Pack, as factory options

and then I will install the rest myself over time ( I have to work the Missus over for these bits) full exhuast to elinimate the DPF that the service guys have warned about ( any Recommondations will be good) A chip or piggy back unit, 2# suspension lift with old man emus and lovells springs , ARB snorkel and side steps and Hopefully if the budget permits LPG injection..

Any input will be much appreciated , especially on the chip, or tune bit !

anyway sorry about the long post ! Hi again :cheers!:

I cant give you any advice other than buy a D22, but goodluck and enjoy the forum.

Welcome, the search button does amazing things. There is an abundance of questioned already answered on here. But feels free to post a thread and someone will
UsuLly point you in the right direction ASAP

Welcome to the forum.

In all honesty, don't be put off by the DPF. Your model may not even have it - they took the DPF out of the STX Auto range from about mid 2010 onwards. Even if it does, they're easy to manage - just drive normally!

If you're constantly below 1500rpm for various reasons then you might have an issue, because every few hundred km the system needs to give the DPF a bit of a clean. While I personally think that's a waste of fuel, I don't mind the clean exhaust that I have - there is NO soot on the inside of my exhaust and even under hard acceleration, my car blows NO smoke.

I'm not sure you'd need both LPG injection AND a chip and I'd steer you towards ChipIt to ask them if the two are compatible together. If you do get a chip, they'd be a good source and they sell a chip with an EGT display, which is important for caring for your turbocharger.

Don't forget to check out the Navara groups for one near you.
