Headlights

Hi Guys,
Just looking at upgrading my stock d22 headlights.
Looking for the brightest/whitest available that are legal in vic.

Are HID conversions the way to go?

My son put HID conversions on a few vehicles but they played up and I got him to put the Halogen back in. I think they were cheap ones from He Pay. I now run Narva 225 HID driving lights, Excellent for the open roads.
I don't think HID Headlights are legal for "On Road" use.

I run Narva Intense H4's (ADR approved) in my D40 and they are a huge improvement over the stock ones. As I understand HID's are not legal in vehicles that don't come standard with them. The vehicle needs to have auto levelling headlamps as well as meet criteria for the housing and lens.

I tried a set of globes that claimed 40% whiter light and could pick any difference, haven't tried anything else since.
