We just had our 2011 Muster Wrap-Up meeting and went through the feedback - it looks like everyone enjoyed it, the event was a big success, so we're starting to plan for future events!

We've decided that the next one will be in the Victorian High Country (it was popular), sometime in November 2012. We haven't worked out an exact date yet, but that's approximately when we think it'd be good to hold it. This is subject to approval of us using the sites, more details will follow.

In 2013 we're thinking Queensland - perhaps Glasshouse Mountains. 2014 we're considering South Australia. In 2015 it'll return to NSW.

Sounds good Tony, i wouldn't mind seeing a bit of the high country in Victoria. Given the success of the muster the next one should be huge.

X2 Victorian high country looks great

LOL @ Sparra ... you'll figure out how to come to mexico land ...

As Tony stated, the Vicotrians get to host the next Muster here on our our doorstep. Cant wait for next November to come now. Lots of planning and research to take place in the coming weeks, and guess who gets to 'check out' all the camping spots ... LOL

Vnoggers, feel free to inspire me with more ideas of good locations for 35+ utes. Yup, i'm aiming to double the numbers from last year (i hope the rest of the committee agree ...)

What Andrew said.

Hopefully Andrew wont lead Scott, Ian and myself astray again with all the drinking and loud music.

Nice area up in the Pilbara ... only its about a 6 day drive to get there isn't it (from Melbourne)

How about somewhere in SA so that WA are not excluded by cost.

It should be East coast one year. North/south/west next year. On a rotating basis.

Sorry to break the news to you fellas but there is more to Australia than Vic and NSW

Biscuits ... atm, we are planning for SA in 2014. But there is nothing to say we cant swap QLD 2013 and SA 2014 around the other way. Not set in concrete yet.

If i have my way WA will secede next year and you *******s on the East Coast will need a passport and visa to get over here....And i'll reject every bloody frigging application. The only way you'll be able to get over here then is to put your Nav's on a old fishing boat and claim refugee status when you get here. :cheers!:

I wouldn't bother with a muster in the Pilbara. It's a barren as the moon and about as friendly as a mob of anti western Collingwood supporting terrorists high on meth. The Kimberley is another thing all together. By far the best place in Australia to visit (and full of scantly clad euro back packers). I know it's a tad too far.

I'll organise to come to a muster in a few years time the family is planning a around Australia trip.

Really good point about the servicing, Brad. In the East-West trip thread I worked out that we'd need a service just before we left, and another in Adelaide on the return trip - the total round trip was something like 11,500km.

Merchant, I'd love to have a muster over in WA. How many people would sign up for it? That's the key ingredient. We won't have any sponsors coming to the party if there are only 3 vehicles showing up and without sponsors, there's no event.

Meeting you guys in SA is a great idea. There's a handful in SA, a truckload in VIC, NSW and QLD. The Vic guys would probably find SA an easy drive, NSW it's a day and a bit, and Qlders would take at least a day and a half if not 2 days to get to SA by the fastest route.

But I tell you what - if you can get 15 Navaras together in one place in WA, I'll come over and we''ll make sure the sponsors listen up!

The key for now is to get the sponsors solidly on board, which means getting them to the event. With most of their headquarters in Vic, the second event HAS to happen in Vic.

Nothing beyond that is set in stone - we could very well do the third in WA, we just need enough vehicles to attend to make it worthwhile for the sponsors. That would be 2013 - we'd have done Birdsville (2012) and the plan was for an East-West trip in 2013 anyway - now, what happens if that culminated in a Muster over there?

Who knows what's going to happen - but it does ALL depend on numbers. They are the overriding factor on anything that we try to do.
