Hi All, As per thread. Have higher springs on the front due to a recall. Problem is when you hit a bump, even on the bitumen it feeds back through the wheel. Car runs stright and very good to drive and all tyres are wearing spot on. have Kumo AT on which are near new. Buts it allways done it??. Its a 2007 model with the same std shocks. Done appox 120K. What are your thoughts. many Thanks Terry

Standard shocks are shit mate
How did you put up with them for so long
Try sending zordo a pm he will sort you out with the right gear at a great price
Cheers

The lower bushes in the struts will be flogged out.. a common thing. Not worth replacing just get new struts. And id ring Zordo. He set me up with lovells on the front and soo much better than my old tough dogs or the standard struts...

and i would throw a set of nolathane bushes at the lower strut end as well, even the new ones zordo got me (bluemaxx) flogged out quick, the nolathane bushes are doing the trick nicely

120k on standard shocks??? also your springs probably have sagged front coils as well it you have a minor lift and a Nissan towbar the top of the hitch receiver should be around 500mm,what's yours 350-400mm? a basic upgrade will do wonders.

Thanks Guys, I will send Zordo a pm and work out what we need. The front is down from the back about 30mm. but from what i can measure with other cars the front is appox 25mm higher than std. The back was resprung some time ago and the front was replaced with H/D springs from nissan. To which I am happy with. I tow a 2.5 ton boat a fair bit and the back is spot on. My line of thinking was to fit the 15mm spacers to the front springs which would make it level [empty] than put a 15 - 20mm block under the rear springs. I still need the back a little higher for towing and general weight when camping etc. Then fit 4 good quality gas shocks. Then a wheel aligment. What are your thoughts.?? Many thanks Terry

If you are towing 2.5t I wouldn't mess with spacers as you will stress and flatten the leaves. Talk to zordo. Mine runs real heavy and I tow, the lovells/dobinson/blumax he set me up with was a good price and as I said rides much better than the more expensive tough dog kit I had in it... and the double ringed lower bushes in the lovells are holding up a lot better too. although I carry a spare set with me now on trips so I don't get caught out again...

Thanks Guys, Getting back to Happy John, My towbar is not the nissan type but, the top of the hitch[ where the tongue slides in is 460 off the ground sitting on concrete. Also I don't know if this will help but to the rear guards off the ground is 910mm and the front is 880mm. I had the back springs reset at Dobinsons appox 2 years ago and they put in a additional spring. I think the back is fine but maybe once we do the front the rear will sit down a bit when weight goes on. I really don't won't to spend the earth but basically bring the front up a bit and fit new shockies. What I do want to know is how high are the std guards off the ground when new. My is a spanish built 2007. many Thanks Terry
