Oh how childish, changing words so that you can play without your little homo button. It's no wonder FB left in disgust given such childish behaviour in his built thread.

Yeah and leave me to do mine!

I'm over this forum

****! Just got quoted a ridiculous amount to have the mouts made for my roof Rack! Went back and picked it up. Who would have thought over $500.00 to make a couple little bit of solid pipe with thread in it.

Welcome back!

I thought you got your mate to do all the metal work?

He can't do it the way I want it this time.
I need some solid pipe about 40-50mm wide and about 65mm high.
It needs to have thread in the middle and be welded to the raxk so I can bolt it down from the top. Got any ideas?

I can't quite picture what you are trying to do but wouldn't solid pipe would be too heavy for what it needs to do?

They are only pretty much "Feet" to get weled to the rack and the pass a bolt up through the bottom of the sports bar and bolt it into that foot if you know what I mean? I need some sort of idea. That's the best I can't come up with as it will also tighten down onto the canvas with some rubber in between which will seal the holes nicely also. :/

Sorry for the mock up image but I haven't got a good photo of exactly what we used on the farm. 50mm x 100mm boxing with a hole at each end for a bolt. Rack goes on the top, bolt through the bottom goes through whatever mount you need. You'd have to pick your material and standard boxing might not look that neat on your spiffy rig but there is heaps of options that will take quite a bit of weight.

Well that's a pretty decent idea. I might have to go square box though, so that I have have a nice amount of clamping pressure on the top of the canvas. It would probably look better too.
