Have Spainish 2008 3.0 ddi D40 auto, 350,000 kms. Following DPF dash light showing and head gasket fail between 3&4, replaced head, brand new DPF and sensors, fuel filter. (Don't believe in half doing things). Also cleaned cat converter, EGR, TCV (as was throwing up a TCV code). Had turbo checked out by specialist too. No fault codes remail when OBD2 reused but DPF warning light still refuses to go out. Did the peddle dance and dash lights will NOT flash on last step, despite numerous tries. Car remains in limp mode and will not rev past 2000 RPM with no power. Idles well, no misses, no smoke etc. At a loss on what to do now.

The DPF is actually so special that it has its own separate routines in the ECU.

A mechanical workshop will be able to issue the command to reset the DPF warning, otherwise the car might need a "forced regeneration" - nasty job, runs the engine at moderate RPM continuously for an extended period while extra fuel is dumped into the exhaust stroke to feed the DPF. The service manual describes this as a strenuous activity that requires a complete oil change afterwards.
